Each static ring carries a ring of freely-orbiting rollers. The counts 12 / 22 / 32 follow the Law of Squares: perimeter grows, mass grows, the collective vortex reinforces. With only one ring the system always fails.

Magnetization Designer — Searl's Printing Recipe

Searl's secret: apply a strong DC field of 150–180 A through a 200-turn copper winding, then superimpose a tiny 0.1–0.2 A AC at 1–3 MHzthrough a 10-turn copper strip wound on top. The total MMF must stay strictly positive at all times — the AC modulates the DC, it never inverts it. Duration: a single 9-second on-off cycle.

Magnetization Coil Construction

The magnetization coil is the single most important tool in the whole build. It has two superimposed windings: a thick 200-turn DC base, and a 10-turn copper strip AC layer wound on top of it.

Procedure (Searl's 7 steps)

  1. Place the piece (roller stack of 8 segments, or full stator ring) inside the coil's blind.
  2. Set DC supply to 150–180 A and AC generator to 1–3 MHz sine at 0.1–0.2 A RMS.
  3. Switch DC and AC on simultaneously, ideally at a zero-crossing of the AC.
  4. Hold for exactly 9 seconds — the field grabs a circumferential wave pattern into the ferrite.
  5. Switch DC and AC off simultaneously at the next zero-crossing.
  6. Remove the piece without changing anything on the rig.
  7. Repeat for every roller and every plate — same coil, same parameters, same cycle.
The small inner ring can be printed with a different frequency to program the behavior of the whole generator. Frequency is a control parameter, not just geometry.

IGV Propulsion System (Inverse Gravity Vehicle)

When the SEG is scaled up and embedded in the hull of a craft, it becomes an IGV — an Inverse Gravity Vehicle. Searl documented three simultaneous propulsion mechanisms produced by a single IGV unit.

1. Magnetic

The IGV's rotating vortex couples with the gravitational field and is repelled by it. Inside the cabin the crew still feels roughly half-gravity — no adverse effects.

2. Mechanical I

Orbital motion of the roller mass on the outer ring generates a net thrust vector, steerable by modulating the inner ring's frequency.

3. Mechanical II

Atmospheric pressure gradient: ionized air rushes radially outward, creating a low-pressure dome that lifts the craft without combustion.

Control is achieved with a high-power RF transmitter tuned to the same frequency used during magnetization. Change the frequency, change the behavior. This is why Searl said “frequency is the throttle”.

Pink halo & ozone

Pink ionization halo around the periphery and strong ozone smell.

Air rarefaction

Air flows radially outward; candles placed at the center extinguish.

Cold running

Temperature drops progressively — more power extracted = colder device.

Superconducting ~4 K

At roughly 4 K the whole SEG becomes superconducting.

Weight loss

Objects inside the ring lose apparent weight; full levitation at higher RPM.

RF interference

Radios nearby switch on spontaneously during operation.
